Producers Philippe Cerboneschi and Hubert Blanc-Francard, legends of the French house music scene under the name Cassius, are back with a new EP released under Ed Banger named "The Rawkers EP".
After having produced Phoenix's "Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix", Chromeo's "Business Casual" and joined forces with Gaspard Augé (Justice), Dj Mehdi, and Busy P for a project called Club 75 that blew everyone's mind at Coachella earlier this year, these guys have finally taken some time to release new material since their single "Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigarettes" back in 2009.
Looks like the alliance with Ed Banger and the friendship with Busy P has given Cassius a chance to rethink their style and come up with a new sound that in a way leaves the house roots these guys used to have behind and focuses more on the old electro/dance sound Ed Banger has been acquiring lately.
With 6 killer tracks, this EP shows us that these guys really deserve the acknowledgement they have in the international music scene and makes us long for more.
