To be honest with you I'm not into techno or any derivative from that genre, therefore I'm not updated with what's happening in that scene, with who carries the beacon or who are the new promising artists.
I just found out there's this smooth techno band called Pantha Du Prince who I'd never heard before, and that has an experimental thing going on in their music that's quite interesting. These guys teamed up with Panda Bear (one of the founding members of Animal Collective) and delivered an awesome track that got remixed by no less than Four Tet, the guy we all love for delivering some of the smoothest, happiest, easy electro recordings out there.
Normally this wouldn't be in my repertoire, but after seeing the name Four Tet I had to give it a chance, and god I would have regretted if I hadn't.
